FAQ
A brazilian is where all the hair is removed from below the belly button down to the tailbone with everything in between. You have the option to leave either a landing strip or a triangle if you’d like. A bikini wax is waxing all the hairs that stick out of your underwear or bathing suit bottom.
The answer is YES! It is totally safe getting waxed while being pregnant. It can be a little more sensitive being pregnant because of the more blood flow in the area. We recommend to come every four weeks so it’s not too sensitive. It is common for your hair cycles to get off cycle while being pregnant.
Ingrown hairs are when the hair becomes trapped underneath the skin. Since the hair become a lot more fine from waxing, and because we are SO DRY in New Mexico, sometimes the hairs aren’t strong enough to break through the skin. This is why exfoliating and moisturizing is so important. Pick up an exfoliating brush or roll on gel at your next wax visit!
YES! As long as you have a clean tampon in, you can still get a wax. We recommend to take ibuprofen 30 minutes to 1 hour before your appointment, with more blood flow in the area, it can make your wax a little more sensitive than normal.
Being hydrated and moisturized makes a HUGE difference! This helps the hair come out of the follicle so much easier. Avoiding caffeine and alcohol 24 hours prior to your wax, these are blood stimulates and more blood flow in this area can cause sensitivity. Take ibuprofen 30 minutes to 1 hour before your wax to prevent sensitivity. Numbing gel is offered as well, arrive 10 minutes before your appointment to let that sit in before your waxing appointment.
